Our Expert Panel

We are a cross-disciplinary group of academics concerned about the welfare and futures of all Kiwis. As a group, we set up this website to share information for the public good and to set out our vision for a balanced response to COVID-19. In August we started taking public donations to help cover costs.

    • I am a legal academic interested in civil liberties and role of law in New Zealand’s society and history.  I believe it is vital to have a free and open public discussion about the best course of action in relation to Covid-19.  This discussion should involve all New Zealanders and include views from many perspectives.  This allows New Zealand citizens to exercise their right to freedom of expression during this crisis.  The discussion is led by health experts but can be supported by other disciplines including economics and law providing a multi-disciplinary approach.
  • Dr Ananish Chaudhuri- Professor of Experimental Economics, University of Auckland and Visiting Professor of Public Policy, Harvard Kennedy School

  • Dr Michael Jackson – Postdoctoral researcher; expertise in biostatistics and biodiscovery, Victoria University of Wellington
